LA MAURIANE : PUISSEGUIN SAINT-EMILION La Mauriane is traditional viticulture, free of modernity; the return of man among the vines. It is also an ode to these clay and chalk soils on which nothing can grow except the vine and a few fruit trees. Eschewing the facility of sweetness, the conceit of viscosity and the mediocrity of bitter, we tend to the fluidity, the minerality and the palatability of the wine. La Mauriane is a verdant semicircle from which spring the merlot noirs and the purple cabernet-francs, harvested during the unpredictable days of autumn by a small group of nomadic grape pickers. |
